Hi, and welcome to Friskus!

It all started in Voss in 2017. We had a burning wish to make it easier for children, young people and adults to take part in activities where they live. Because where do you actually find everything that is going on?

We travelled around Norway for three years to gather knowledge and listen to several hundred children, young people and adults about what a digital platform like this should be. The result is friskus.com.

Sustainable local communities come down to the people who live there having fun things to do, taking part in what goes on, contributing what they can, having friends and feeling valued. We fight for our local communities to stay sustainable and built on trust and safety.

Our vision is to bring people together

Together with many Norwegian municipalities we champion every child's right to take part in a leisure activity, among other things through the fritidskort. In Friskus you can digitise grant money, so children and young people can pay their membership fees digitally without being singled out.

With a great many clubs, organisations and municipal departments registered on friskus.com, we have built unique experience in creating social meeting places. The result is an active community for user involvement, with great value for residents.

Leisure activities mean well-being, friendship and meaning, and they help people grow. It should be super easy to find, sign up for and take part in all sorts of fun things.

Children and young people are the future of our country, the new innovators and the ones who will look after everything we have. We believe children and young people deserve to have their membership fee sponsored, so they can choose membership in exactly the organisation they want. That is why you will find the fritidskort in Friskus, which lets money go directly to children and young people.

Sigrid founded friskus.com. She has twice in a row been named one of Norway's fifty leading women in technology, and in March 2025 she received the eHealth award for her work on preventive health in Friskus. She is a trained child welfare educator and has put her master's degree in health and welfare management on hold to lead Friskus. Sigrid is a social entrepreneur with ten years of leadership experience from the public sector, and has started projects for voluntary and non-profit organisations.

The whole Friskus team works with focus and dedication to break down the barriers that keep people from taking part in activities and in their local community. Our colleagues are based in Voss, Bergen and Oslo.
